Mass Update Regenerate
Multiple accounts can be regenerated simultaneously by hovering over the New Accounts tab and clicking MU Regenerate. From there enter the appropriate information in the search fields and click Query. Click the Regenerate button to regenerate all records listing. Remember, the PP Depreciation Schedule must be rolled to the current year and each accounts Rendition Status must be marked “Received” in order to regenerate an account. Spot check accounts against the PP Depreciation Schedule to ensure regeneration was successful.
This Quick Help is designed to teach the user how to regenerate Personal Property items on a mass scale to reflect the current year’s Depreciation Schedule. This Quick Help will show the steps for regeneration as well as the steps to check that the items updated correctly against the Depreciation Schedule. This help is designed for mass updates, for information on individual updates please refer to the Regenerate an Individual Account Help or Quick Help.
1. Log into Capture
2. Hover over the New Accounts tab and click on M/U Regenerate
3. Enter the Record Year and other search criteria:
4. Click the Query button to display the results once the desired information has been entered
5. Click the Regenerate button to regenerate all records listed
Note: In order to regenerate the rendition the Status must be marked Received
6. In order to see the regenerated list, click on an Account Number to open the Personal Property Account Record
7. Click the Items tab to view the updated Items
8. To verify the items have been successfully regenerated, hover over the Administrator tab on the Home screen and click on PP Depreciation
9. Enter the correct Rate Year then click on the Go button to bring up the PP Depreciation table for the year selected
10. Check the table against the account to ensure the items were properly regenerated
EXAMPLE: The 2012 depreciation year for Furniture, Fixtures, Etc. shows a 75% Good, matching the regenerated account example, indicating that the regeneration was successful
