Defining Maps

Maps are a useful tool for locating parcels within the county as well as viewing parcels in relation to one another. Maps can also be used in creating Custom Lists or Batches, viewing a parcel’s boundaries, measuring a parcel’s area, etc.

Maps in Capture

Maps can be accessed by clicking the Maps tab on the home screen or by clicking the Maps tab in the Parcel Information Dashboard (accessing maps in this manner will pull up the parcel from which the Maps tab was selected). If accessed from the home screen, search for a parcel by using the Search boxes to the right of the map. The area of the chosen parcel can be measured in acres by checking the Area box and clicking around the perimeter of the parcel. The perimeter of the parcel can be measured in feet by checking the Measure box and clicking around the perimeter of the parcel. Custom lists and batches can be created by using the Select Mode and the Mass Select tools. Clicking the parcel will bring up a parcel information pop-up.
